If you have gum disease find out the treatment process for how to get your gums back to a healthier state.

Gum health is an important part in maintaining good oral health, but gums are often routinely forgotten when it comes to caring for yourgum disease smile. If our Hanover dentists Dr. Michael and Dr. Shora Farivari have diagnosed you with gum disease, then chances are you are looking for answers regarding treatment and care. We are here to provide you with those answers!

What are my treatment options?

For many people diagnosed with mild to moderate forms of gum disease, scaling and root planing treatment is often all that’s required. Scaling and root planing are used to remove tartar and plaque buildup on the tooth, gums, and tooth roots and to smooth down the roots to make it harder for bacteria to grow there. After scaling and root planing, most patients do not require additional treatment.

When you come in to visit our Hanover general dentist we will examine your smile to determine what treatment option will work best for you.

Will I require additional care after gum disease treatment?

Even if we have treated your gum disease and your condition is under control we will still want to see you for ongoing maintenance and professional dental care to make sure your gums are healing and that your condition is under control.

With the proper care, we can manage your condition and its symptoms. This means coming into our office every three to four months to make sure that bacteria, tartar, and plaque aren’t affecting your oral health.

Don’t you want a Hanover dental team that you can trust? Then it’s time you called Ridgeview Dental Care to schedule your next appointment. From dental cleanings to crowns and bridges to gum therapy, we cover all our bases so that you always get the care you need.
